DESCRIPTION:  \n\nA STUDY OF LONG ISLAND CITY’S\nPOST INDUSTRIAL LANDSCAPE ~\nAND ITS IMPACT ON OUR CITY’S LANDSCAPE …\n \nNATHAN KENSINGER \nPHOTOGRAPHER – FILMAKER – JOURNALIST\n\n\nThe first part of this program will be a short documentary film that he co-directed with Nate Dorr about Hunter’s Point South in 2015 titled Reclaimed Ground. This piece was part of a larger arts project he co-curated called Change Ecologies\, that brought 20 artists to engage with the Long Island City waterfront and investigate its history. \nThe second part of the program will be a presentation of his ongoing photographic and journalistic documentation of LIC’s changing post-industrial landscape\, highlighting local industrial sites that have now been demolished or developed\, including West Chemical\, Schwartz Chemical\, and the Neptune Meter Company\, otherwise known as 5 Pointz. \n SPECIAL PRESENATION: RECLAIMED GROUND — A Short Documentary \n  \n           WEDNESDAY\, AUGUST 17\, 2022 / 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM\nTAP HERE TO REGISTER FOR THE EVENT!\n  \n\n\n\n\n
