We’ll take the ferry and bus to one of Staten Island’s most obscure historic neighborhoods that includes a visit to the small town Balthazar Kreischer built for his brick works.
We’ll see historic churches and cemeteries, visit Clay Pit Ponds State Park, and finish up at the famed Biergarten Killmeyer’s Old Bavaria Inn.
Meet outside Staten Island Ferry at 10AM; we will get the 10:30 boat and then take the S74 bus.
Staten Islanders, meet us at Arthur Kill and Sharrotts Roads at about noon.
Budget about 7 hours total for this special tour.
Fee: $15 Greater Astoria Historical Society; $20 all others.
Note: As schedules on weekends, are subject to change we suggest you check with the MTA Trip Advisor the day before the tour.
