Forgotten NY Tour - Woodhaven
Sat Jun 18 2016, 12:00 pm
What do Mae West, George Gershwin, Danny Kaye, Barry Sullivan, and Fred Trump (the Donald’s father) have in common?
They all lived in Woodhaven!
One of America’s first planned developments, homes are mainly Victorian and Colonial – many are over 120 years old.
In this community, many home owners are restoring their homes through beautification and remodeling.
The highlight of the tour is a visit to New York City’s oldest bar, Nier’s Tavern, claimed by some to be nearly 190 years old! You can bet the beer is fresh and cold!
