#LastNovemberInAQ: is a restrospective photo journal capturing the many neighborhoods of Astoria and Long Island City, Queens this past November 2015.
Gallery was photographed solely with an IPhone 6 and are the same images that were shot, edited and uploaded real time for each day of November to the popular Queenscapes Instagram page.
Exhibit also features history, commentary and the perspective of the photographer, and lifelong Queens resident Adolfo Steve Vazquez.
The objective of #LastNovemberInAQ is to link the immediacy and trends of today’s social media with an ever transforming Queens.
The Artist: Adolfo Steve Vazquez has been documenting every neighborhood of Queens since January 2014, posting his findings on his Instagram page titled Queenscapes. His Instagram page has led to IRL projects and features with the Queens Public Library, NewYork.com, The Future Project, and Street Dreams Magazine. Vazquez also contributes regularly with the local Queens newspaper, the Times Ledger.
These programs are supported by public funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs.
