The Main Event: The Summer of Love with the legendary Denny Daniel and the Museum of Interesting Things

Apollo 11 Moon Landing, Stonewall Riots, Woodstock Nation: the summer of 1969 was a watershed moment for a generation whose echoes reverberate to this day.

That decade was not just summers of 8 track tapes, the Beatles and hippies. So much history transpired that shaped our current world. Take a tour with The Museum of Interesting Things from many vintage 16mm films to fun things & historic things. The Museum will take you to the Moon and back, sometimes you will sing and dance and sometimes you will mourn the passing of the American Camelot.

See original vintage 16mm films of various iconic artists from the 1960’s & early 1970’s like Bob Dylan – the film often considered the 1st music “video”, Jefferson Airplane’s White Rabbit, the Beatles and Yeah Yeah Yeah so much more!  And in-between films see and touch items from the era and you may even get to take selfies with of our vintage jackets you can actually try on and be a hippy! All the while you will get front row tickets to ride on a Magical Mystery Tour that will be like a World’s Fair.

A note from ours host: “This is a “loungie place” …. so please let us know if you have special needs and require seating …. Food is not endliess so come early for it 🙂 ”

A perfect date night or come meet someone new!

This is a special benefit to help support our friends GAHS continue their amazing work preserving our history and find a permanent home too!
