Walking Tour of Old Astoria Village-walk through the original streets of Old Astoria and follow the development of this unique community.
Walk with us from the former mouth of Sunswick Creek at Hallets Cove, through the streets of Astoria Village, to Pot Cove overlooking the Hell Gate.
See remnants of the antebellum community and the great hill where scores of magnificent houses still exist.
See what remains of this landmark worthy neighborhood before it is gone.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring water.
There are a couple of hills and some rough terrain and uneven sidewalks.
There is a bathroom stop early and at the end of the tour. Tour ends at Astoria Park’s south end.
Meet at the entrance to Socrates Sculpture Park (Broadway and Vernon on the East River).
End Astoria Park South: about 3 hours
Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
