ASTORIA PARK AND POOL

Come and join us for a walking tour of the entire Astoria Park to include topics such as the earlier inhabitants of the area, the old mansions, the East River, the treacherous Hell Gate, the two mighty bridges above the park, the great Astoria Pool, the trees, the wildlife, and a butterfly garden!
Members of GreenShoresNYC will join us along the route to discuss upcoming events and plans for the park’s future.
Wear sturdy shoes and bring water. There are 2 bathroom stops in the park and light refreshments from local vendors along the way.
Come learn about the past and the present about our great waterfront park, Astoria Park and its legendary swimming pool.
Meet representatives from the Astoria Park Alliance and GreenShoresNYC.
Start: 19th Street and Ditmars Blvd.
Bring water and wear comfortable shoes.
The tour will last approximately 3 hours.
