WEDNESDAY, February 22ndh @ 7:00 P.M. Reading Series “James Baldwin – “Go Tell It On the Mountain”
More than any other American author, Baldwin speaks to both the promise and failures of American democracy.
This new reading series, funded by the NY Council on the Humanities, will offer the opportunity to engage in conversations about race and American society through Baldwin’s writings.
Works included in this series: “Notes of a Native Son”, “Fifth Avenue, Uptown”, “Sonny’s Blues”, Giovanni’s Room” and “Go Tell It On the Mountain”.
The next meetings for this group are on Tuesday 12/13/16 and 1/17/17.
