Participants will have the opportunity to receive a guided tour of the NYPL’s Capote papers

2016 marks the 50th anniversary of the publication of Truman Capote’s In Cold Blood, a pioneering work of new journalism and true crime writing.

These readings invites participants to delve into the history and literature of American crime through a series of five books.

This series is sponsored by the NY Council on the Humanities and co-sponsored by The Library of America and The New York Public Library.
