THE SHAPE OF SOLIDARITY: Building unity in a time of trial
Solidarity is the core value of the labor movement, and the most basic resource of working people in the face of unprecedented corporate power.
How do we build and maintain it in the face of all the pressures that work against it today?
There are no canned answers to that question – we have to work it out together.
This interactive workshop is part of an effort to develop strategies and activities to build solidarity from the ground up – starting with each other.
This program is supported by public funds from the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs and the Queens Borough President’s Office, Melinda Katz Queens Borough President.
Additional support provided by the membership of the Greater Astoria Historical Society.
