Celebrate the Hell Gate Bridge Centennial!
The traveling along the Triborough Bridge, the tour starts in Harlem, and crosses Randall’s and Wards’ Islands, then the Hell Gate waterway to end at Astoria’s legendary Bohemian Hall and Park.
We will examine the Triborough Bridge and the Hell Gate Bride, two bridges that are the crowing achievements of New York’s greatest urban planner, Robert Moses, and its greatest bridge builder, Gustav Lindenthal.
