Norwood Gardens was once called "doctors' row" because of the number of doctors who lived and
practiced there. An intrusive four-story structure, permitted by zoning regulations, allowed a serious
compromise of this block's picturesque ambiance. The residents protested "as of right" development.

As in the 1920s, Sunnyside Gardens, a landmark worthy district, is being rediscovered by the
